Sonsi.com—a new online shopping and social destination for women sizes 12 and up—is rewriting the Plus Size dress code just in time for Full Figured Fashion Week(end)? in L.A., October 28-30. As lead sponsor of the event that celebrates beauty in all shapes and sizes, Sonsi? will participate in Full Figured Fashion Week(end)'s grand Finale Runway Event, which is open to the public and takes place Saturday night, October 30th, at 7 p.m., at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza (2025 Avenue of the Stars). Spotlighting the site's top 10 style picks for fall 2010, Sonsi's "Essential Wardrobe" runway show is designed to bolster the full figured woman's newfound fashion gravitas and inspire her to achieve her full fashion potential in a city that lives and breathes style.
The Sonsi showcase will feature a wide variety of looks from preppy casual, street chic and work wear to date night and holiday, culminating with a show-stopping evening gown from Sydney's Closet's Signature Collection. Sonsi resident stylists curated the collection, culling from among the site's current and coming soon brands to dress each full figured model in ensembles that represent a few of the brands that Sonsi carries, including Loop18, alight, Lane Bryant?, Fashion Love, Catherines?, Derek Heart, Fashion Bug?, Baton Rouge and Trac, as well as Sydney's Closet?. Free tickets to the event are being given away by members of The Curvy Collective, a network of the L.A. plus size community's leading fashion bloggers including Curvatude, Stiletto Siren and Skorch Magazine.

On the heels of June's highly successful Full Figured Fashion Week? in New York, show founder and producer, Gwen DeVoe of DeVoe Signature Events, says she chose L.A. for her next venue to acknowledge the area's vibrant plus size community, a silent majority in a town long known for its size zero population. "The full-figured woman is alive and well in L.A. She's vocal and she's got money to spend," says DeVoe. "When we so women's coats online ught to expand Full Figured Fashion Week into other markets, L.A. was our first choice."
According to DeVoe, Full Figured Fashion Week(end)? will showcase the latest designs from the hottest, brightest and freshest talent, including the models that are redefining plus size fashion. Sonsi? will join a Runway Showcase line-up that also includes Sealed with a Kiss, The Plush Boutique, Torrid, Hips and Curves, Chan.nel Karama, Ltd., Igigi by Yuliya Raquel, Lane Bryant, Kiyonna, Sassi Rebel Clothing, Jill Alexander Designs, Forever21+ and Fashion to Figure.
